Lentil soup reminds me of steatorrhea haihhh.
Since there are some lentils available, I decided to make lentil soup for dinner yesterday. I used red lentils. Green lentil is used for making dhal. However the lentil soup is not much difference from dhal.
Here's the recipe:
Boil in a pot:
-A cup of lentils
-2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
-Chicken (I used quarter chicken)
-Adequate water for boiling
In a different pan, fry:
-Garlics
-Red onions
-Ginger
-Cinnamon stick
-anise (bunga lawang)
-cardamom (buah pelaga)
-A spoonful of chicken curry powder
-A teaspoon of turmeric (kunyit)
Then pour the fried ingredients into the pot. Let them cook until the potatoes and lentil beans have softened, the chicken is well cooked.
